Preservation efforts are an important part of saving our heritage. Another Property Chosen for the National Register of Historic Places is the Brave Boat Harbor Farm. Located in York Maine, The farm is considered a historic district encompassing some 700 acres. The farm was once owned by Calvin and Marion Hosmer Jr. In 1951 the Hosmers started building several elegant structures including a Georgian style manor house and several Neo Federal style barns. The gentlemans farm was rounded out with several gardens and orchards, with outbuildings and pastureland. Marion Hosmer was the architect for the gardens, including a walled garden in the front of the property.
